In a massive boost for the Knights, two time AFL Premiership Coach Denis Pagan has been announced as the successor to Paul Satterley for the 2009 season.
Pagan replaces the outgoing Satterley, who stepped aside due to increased work commitments.
Pagan brings to the TAC Cup a wealth of elite coaching experience and a bank of junior coaching honours.
Pagan-coached sides, from Under-19s through to AFL, reached the finals every year from 1983 to 2000. In addition to two premierships at North Melbourne, he also coached the Kangaroos to a record seven consecutive AFL Preliminary Finals.
Pagan also has a phenomenal junior coaching record, taking the North Melbourne Under-19s to five flags.
Denis Pagan's Coaching Record:
- North Melbourne U/19s Premiership Coach 1984, 1987, 1988, 1990, 1991

- North Melbourne Premiership Coach 1996, 1999
